Recent open day – a great success!

The Coverack Lambeage Hall Crowdfunding Launch and Open day was a massive success.
Trevor amazed us with Jujitsu for children and adults alike, while we had practical demonstrations from the Art Club and flower arranging from the Horticultural Society.
There were opportunities to find out more about the Film Club’s programmes and the variety of shows we have staged in association with Carn to Cove (rural touring initiative)
We enjoyed delicious refreshments and fresh coffee and, as always, there was a queue for James’ Famous Pancakes!
You gave us a huge amount of information and loads of interesting suggestions through our questionnaire and these ideas will be explored by the committee over coming months.
We are overwhelmed by the number of people who have offered help. Thanks to the Lambeage Hall Committee and all our friends who worked so hard to make the day special and thank you, especially to everyone who came and donated.
We are delighted to announce that you have given over £2,000 so far – a tremendous achievement. But we still have a long way to go to reach our goal to raise sufficient funds to start work in the Autumn – so please continue to donate and spread the word among your friends, family and associates.

Pot Washing by the Meneage Archaeology Group

The Meneage Archaeology Group met at the Lambeage hall in December to clean up the pottery finds from this year.  Most of the pots found were from the Iron Age at the latest, and all were from a site on the Lizard about 5 miles away.

Lambeage Summer Fete 2018

A great day was had by all at the Lambeage Hall Summer Fete in Coverack on 6th August.
Thanks to Leigh Bernard for opening the fete and to Niamh our Coverack Carnival Queen for the gift presentation. And to you for your support – cakes, cream teas, Pimms, burgers, games, races, craft stalls, live music, dancing, the dog show and so much more was enjoyed by residents, friends and holiday makers raising over £1,000 towards the upkeep and planned renovations of the Lambeage Hall.
Here are some photos of the day, and watch out for more events coming up soon!
