ART COURSE AT LAMBEAGE HALL – SUE LEWINGTON

Watercolour with Sue Lewington: 19th to 21st June 2020

Aimed at developing your personal skills and techniques with watercolour paint.

 

All courses are suitable for both beginners and more experienced artist. The courses run from a Friday through to Sunday and allow for much individual time with Sue (approx. 10 people on each course)
£210 for a 3 day course (including lunches and home-made cake!)

TROUBLED WATERS tells the tale of Cadgwith fisherman Martin Ellis, who lost his boat, the Penrose, as he tried to revive the Duchy’s beleaguered pilchard fishing industry.

This documentary was shortlisted as a prize contender in the Celtic Film and Television Festival.

Born of the Sea – a Coverack Film

Filmed and based in Coverack, this 1949 film will be part of a Cornish Evening at the Lambeage Hall

A baby is found in a boat in a fishing village, but no one can identify from where he came. He grows up among them, but is somehow destined to return to the sea.

The film will be followed by Cornish singing with Jeffrey Bastion.

A sequel to the hit show ‘A Komedy of Errors’ Gerald, despite misgivings, has decided to take on Wallace, the hapless circus trainee, as a permanent juggling partner. Has he made a mistake? Expect a show full of hilarious misunderstandings, a fantastic new illusion and a magical glow in the dark section.

Coverack Horticultural Show – Saturday 22nd August 2020

 

The annual show, staged by Coverack Horticultural Society, is an eagerly anticipated event in the village diary and is looked forward to by exhibitors, locals and visitors alike.

This year the Show is being held on Saturday 22nd August. 

Entries are welcomed in a variety of classes: Vegetables, Flowers, Flora art, Domestic classes including bread, cakes, preserves, Photography and a truly creative Children’s section.

Entries can be taken to the hall on the evening before the show between 6 and 8pm and in the morning from 8 to 10am.

Prize giving at 4.30pm

Closure at 5.oopm
