Coverack Art Club

Coverack Art Club is a very active club that meets regularly to paint and put on exhibitions.  All ages and abilities are welcome, and the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly.

Normal club days are on Mondays, from approximately 10.30am to 3.30pm at Lambeage Hall, close to the Paris Hotel and a short distance up School Hill, on the left. The club operates from early September through to the end of June. Members also meet up during the summer recess to do some painting outdoors.

Membership costs £30 a year, and day visitors are always welcome at a charge of £5.

Once a month the club has a workshop run by a visiting artist. These workshops usually involve a demonstration by the visiting artist, with an opportunity then for participants to paint and incorporate some new techniques learnt during the demonstration. These workshops are always popular, and an extra charge of £10 is made. Visitors are welcome to join us for the day at a cost of £10. That might include holiday makers, or locals wishing to get a flavour of the club and consider whether they might like to join us.

On club days when there is no workshop members work on projects of their own choosing. Often the opportunity to talk to other members and see how and what they are painting is a help and inspiration. The club has an Easter exhibition at the Lifeboat Art Studio in Porthleven, near the Ship Inn, from Good Friday to Easter Monday, and they will be holding their 2016 summer exhibition at Lambeage Hall in Coverack over 10 days from July 29 to August 7, with a preview on Thursday evening, July 28.
